Most energy work elicits emotions, and practitioners often do not feel confident to interact effectively with their clients at this point. Participants at this one day workshop will have the opportunity to learn effective way to intervene verbally with their clients in ways that support the healing process. The non-invasive interventions taught will be based on principles of Gestalt Theory and Humanistic Psychology. This is an introductory workshop; there will be clear explanations, demonstrations and some practice with feedback. 

Putting yourself in the picture of health. We use IMAGERY and picture all the time! Our bodies constantly respond to the "wordless language" we create in our minds. Most of these images are fearful and cause us great stress. Through IMAGERY we can reach beneath the conscious and engage the whole person in stretching into new possibilities. Positive IMAGERY is a powerful and useful skill when used effectively. It can mobilize self-healing, encourage wellness, release creativity and increase performance skills. A burgeoning body of research demonstrates clearly that the addition of positive IMAGERY to any healing process helps to maintain a state of wellness. Participants will learn specific techniques and explore how imagery can be used to augment their own and other people's healing powers.

This intensive applied workshop is designed for those who know something about using imagery, guided visualization and/or have been practicing hypnosis, and wish to learn how to deepen that experience by using specific types of imagery and images for specific situations, personalities and illnesses. Participants will learn to: reduce allergic reactions, target site specific healing, employ metaphorical containers, evoke age progression techniques, dialogue with and harness the unconscious,help people to reduce and/or control their own pain, create interventions that can be tailored specifically, use techniques like altered perceptions and time distortion.
